I have held a deep love and respect of the water since I was
a young man about 10 years old. Throughout the years I have found that whenever
life got too hard or too stressful it was the universe’s way of telling me to
get back to the water.
Being a father of seven, married three times, and to have
held the careers’ that I have been in, I can say with some authority that life
is stress!
Over the years I have worked as a journalist, photographer,
graphic designer and even a producer and director for a weekly PBS series.
Sounds fun right? It wasn’t.
I have also worked everything from lawn care, building homes
and auto repair to driving a tow truck.
In the end, being on and near the water has always won out
over some flashy looking title. So today, after living on a boat for a few
years and in my retirement now, I spend as much time as I can, enjoying time on
the rivers, lakes and seas!
Out here there are always moments of peace, as well as
parties and wild times.
If you are someone who dreams of time on the water, do
yourself a favor, buy the boat, spend your time enjoying life while you have a
life to enjoy!
A balance of family and social life
Retirement hasn't kept me from the rivers, lakes and seas. “Water has a peace which can't be found on dry land.“
Today, along with my youngest daughter “Giggles“ and her mother, Baby J, I spend as much time as possible out on the waterways and sea looking for fun and the next adventure to share.
